The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed to report on the progress of the procedural investigation into the conflict involving a prosecutor's office employee in Moscow, as well as on the investigation of two criminal cases: the murder of an internal affairs investigator and non-payment of wages to employees of VIM Airlines.
In particular, as reported in the media, there was a conflict in the capital between the assistant prosecutor of the Cheremushki inter-district Prosecutor's Office in Moscow and the taxi driver who was giving him a ride. According to the journalists, an employee of the supervisory agency, being in a state of alcoholic intoxication, used foul language and force against the taxi driver. The Moscow Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia organized a procedural assessment into this fact.
Regarding the investigation into the 2018 murder of an internal affairs investigator, the media reported on the release from custody in Georgia of Ivan Kochetkov, an alleged accomplice to the crime. He was detained on the territory of that country at Russia's request as part of a criminal case that was being investigated by the agency's central office, after which the extradition procedure for the figure began. A number of accomplices have already been convicted in this criminal case, and the alleged mastermind of the crime has been identified.
The media also reported on the situation related to the non-payment of wages to employees of VIM Airlines. There are arguments according to which it is possible to pay salaries to employees from the proceeds of the sale of real estate of the airline. However, for such a transaction, in their opinion, it is necessary to remove the arrest from the property, which was imposed as part of the investigation of the criminal case.
The Chairman demanded comprehensive information about the organized verification activities and investigative actions aimed at protecting the interests of the victims. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia put the progress of the assessment and of investigation of the probes under supervision.
