The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructs to transfer a probe into grave offenses committed in Voronezh Region to the Central Office of the Committee

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin instructed to transfer to the Central Office of the Committee a probe launched by the Voronezh Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia under Paragraphs A, C of Part 2 of Articles 222, 317, Part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia into murder of a family and encroachment on lives of law enforcement officers with use of an explosive device.

According to preliminary data, a man committed an offense of a familiar family on the basis of a domestic conflict. Then he went to the building of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Liskinsky district of Voronezh region and used an explosive device to blow up the front door of the police building. After that, the man got into the NIVA car and drove away from the crime scene in the direction of Ostrogozhsk, Voronezh region. According to preliminary information, as a result of the explosion a member of the patrol squad, born in 1995, received a shrapnel wound of the right leg, which is not life-threatening.

The investigation and operative services officers are carrying out required activities aimed at identification and detention of the suspect.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia sent forensic specialists of the central apparatus (Forensic Center of the Investigative Committee of Russia) to the scene for full and objective investigation of circumstances.
