Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin puts under supervision the progress of investigation of probes into violation of the rights of disabled children in Moscow and the mass food poisoning in Makhachkala is under the control of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia

The media drew attention to the criminal case pending before the investigative authorities of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Moscow, initiated under Part 1 Article 286 of the Criminal Code against unidentified officials of the Main Office of Medical and Social Expertise (MSE). According to investigators, some employees of this organization unreasonably denied sick children an extension of their disability status. We are talking about 25 such facts. The probe was launched after complaints about mass cases of deprivation of children from disability status. The material notes that after the initiation of criminal proceedings, some of them were returned to special status, but not all, because experts "have a loophole": they add up the interest only if it is proven that related diseases have a direct impact on the main diagnosis. However, there are no additional studies to prove it.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Moscow Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia A.A. Strizhov to report on the progress of the investigation into the criminal case of the refusal to extend the special status of sick children, and to inform him of the measures taken by the investigation to restore the violated rights of children.

The similar report on the progress of investigation of the probe was requested from the head of Dagestan Republican Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia A.P. Schurov into the fact of mass poisoning in Makhachkala. It was launched the day before upon media information into an offense committed under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia (rendering of services failing to meet safety requirements for life and health of consumers).

Thirty people were admitted to the infectious disease department of the Republican Dermatovenerologic Dispensary, including 17 children with symptoms of acute intestinal infection after eating in a canteen. All those who came in were given the necessary medical care.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia placed the investigation of the both probes under supervision of the Central Office of the Committee.
