The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia requests reports on a number of incidents and a case of possible violation of rights of children

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the Head of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol Terentyev V.N. to report on the progress of the criminal investigation into the injury of a young child in the lion park "Taigan". On September 26, 2021 a young child who was in the territory of the "Taigan" lion park as a result of a bite of a predatory animal received an injury that resulted in amputation of a finger of a hand. The preliminary investigation will give an assessment to both the actions of the personnel to provide the service and the facts of the subsequent provision of medical care, as well as in to ensuring security measures and observing the rights of the child by persons who are entrusted with the responsibility of raising him. The progress of investigation is under supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

In addition, the head of the Committee instructed the acting head of the Perm Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia Anashchenko D.S. to submit a report on the progress of the inspection on the fact of the collapse of the overhead pedestrian crossing and the death of people. On September 28, 2021, on the Perm-Yekaterinburg highway, a truck driver, passing with a raised cabin under an elevated pedestrian crossing, knocked down a structure, as a result of which the crossing collapsed, which resulted in the death of drivers of two cars. At present, the investigators are examining the scene and interrogating witnesses. The progress of the probe is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

In addition, on the air of the federal channel, it was reported that a resident of the Republic of Karelia, after 11 years of raising two adopted children, was removed from custody and accused of beatings. At the same time, it is reported that this decision could have been taken by the guardianship authorities with violations and affect the rights of children. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Karelia Republican Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia E.N. Shvets to report on the situation. The progress of fulfillment of the instruction is to be supervised by the Central Office of the Committee.
