The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia requests a report on investigation of a probe into bus accident in Khabarovsk Territory

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin instructed the head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Khabarovsk Territory and the Jewish Autonomous Region Dolgalev E.G. to report on the initial results of the investigation of the probe on the accident with a passenger under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (rendering of services that do not meet safety requirements).

An accident occurred at night on the Khabarovsk-Lidoga-Vanino-Komsomolsk-On-Amur highway involving a passenger bus travelling to the city of Khabarovsk on 3 October 2021. So far, 10 people are known to have sought medical help. The total number of people on the bus is currently being specified. Investigators have inspected the scene of the accident, expert investigations have been scheduled, and witnesses are being questioned.

The Head of the Investigative Committee, A.I. Bastrykin, has instructed the investigation to establish all the circumstances of the accident that led to the injuries and to identify those involved in the crime. Upon request of the Chairman of the Committee the Central Office is to supervise the progress and results of the probe.
