The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructs to report on the results of the investigation of the probe into the murder of Igor Talkov

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation pays special attention to solving crimes of the past, and active investigative actions are continuing into the murder of the singer Igor Talkov.

On 13 November 2018, the St. Petersburg Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia resumed the investigation into the probe under Paragraphs B, D of Article 102 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR, regarding the murder of Igor Talkov in the Yubileyny Sports Palace on 6 October 1991. At present, the investigation into the probe is ongoing, all the people at the scene of the accident to be questioned as witnesses have been identified, measures are being taken to establish their whereabouts, and witnesses are being questioned, including on additional interrogations. Valery Shlyafman was charged in absentia with the manslaughter of Igor Talkov, a crime under Article 106 of the RSFSR Criminal Code, and was placed on a federal and international wanted list.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation instructed the acting head of St. Petersburg Main Investigative Department, M.G. Parastaeva, to submit a detailed report on all the circumstances of the incident and the results of the investigation.
