The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation orders report on circumstances of fight in Moscow metro

Media monitoring revealed that three men severely beat and kicked a Metro passenger in the head area. The victim, in serious condition, was immediately admitted to a medical facility for necessary treatment. Police launched a probe into an offence under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism). Taking into account that the men's actions may have elements of an offence under Part 3 of Article 30, and Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (attempted murder for hooliganism), and in order to comprehensively establish the circumstances of the incident, the issue of transferring the criminal case to the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia was initiated.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the Head of the Moscow Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia, A.A. Strizhov, to report on the planned investigative actions and to check the suspects for other similar crimes. The progress of the fulfillment of the instructions and of the probe is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
