A publication on one of the internet sites reported that an elderly home front worker could not get help from the authorities in solving her housing problem. According to the media, the 91-year-old woman lives together with her disabled son in a private house in the town of Atkarsk in Saratov Region. The elderly woman has to dig trenches herself in order to prevent her home from flooding, as their house is located in a ravine. Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, instructed the Head of the Saratov Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, A. Govorunov, to report on the progress of the procedural probe and to take exhaustive measures to clarify all the circumstances promptly. The progress of the probe is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The girl's body was found on the night of 18 to 19 April 2021 at a recreation centre in a forested area. A federal channel reported that the mother of the deceased was told that her daughter had taken her own life. However, the mother was sure that a murder had been committed. An investigation into the death is being carried out by the investigating authorities.
