The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia requests reports on a number of incidents with children

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, A.N. Yegorov, to report on the investigative actions on the probe into the fatal injury of a child at a playground. On September 26, 2021 an unsecured swing fell down on a 4-year-old girl at a playground located in the centre of the village of Tazovsky, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District as a result of the accident, the victim sustained a closed head injury Later she died of her injuries in a medical facility. Investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of Russia initiated probe under Paragraph C of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code (provision of services intended for children under six years that do not meet the safety requirements of life and health of consumers, resulting in serious harm to health). The investigation will be supervised by the Central Office of the Investigative Committee.

A federal channel also reported that parents in Bolotny district, Novosibirsk region, repeatedly inflicted bodily harm on their infant daughter. Novosibirsk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched a pre-investigative probe under Article 117 of the Criminal Code of Russia (torture). The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the acting head of Novosibirsk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia, A. N. Badulin to report on the progress of the probe. The progress of the probe is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation A.I. Bastrykin instructed the head of the Moscow Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia A.A. Strizhov to report on the progress of the pre-investigative probe on the media report of a young child injured in a trampoline centre in the north-east of Moscow. A federal TV media reported that a 2-year-old girl sustained a head injury while playing in a foam cubes dry pool at a trampoline centre on Dmitrovskoye Highway, which resulted in her needing medical attention. The Head of the Investigative Committee has instructed to investigate into all the circumstances of the accident with the child and the reasons that led to her injury. Also Head of Investigation Committee of Russia instructed to ensure verification of information on other possible accidents with children in trampoline centres of the organization.
