The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Krasnoyarsk region and the Republic of Khakassia initiated criminal proceedings based on the results of a procedural check of media reports about the spread of an infectious disease among students of MBEI Secondary school No 56 on the grounds of an offense under Part 1 Article 238 of the Criminal Code (providing services that do not meet safety requirements).

According to the investigation 6 pupils of different classes of the school who visited the school canteen addressed medical institutions of Krasnoyarsk from October 06 till October 07, 2021. According to the results of the examination, the children showed signs of intestinal infection, one child was hospitalized in the infectious diseases department of the hospital.

Alexander Bastrykin instructed the Acting Head of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia Zyubanov A.G. to submit a report on the conducted investigative actions in the criminal case.

The progress of investigation of the probe is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
