Over the past three years, 29 terrorist attacks have been suppressed in the North Caucasus, along with over 30 other terrorist crimes, 84 bandits have been liquidated, and 379 accomplices have been detained. 59 conspiratorial cells were identified, whose members intended to commit terrorist acts in places of mass presence of people.
The Investigative Committee of Russia also investigates criminal cases of terrorist crimes in the region, in accordance with the jurisdiction established by law, with operational support from the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
During the event, an additional set of measures was developed to improve the organization of the work of local self-government bodies and anti-terrorist commissions in order to further reduce the level of terrorist threats in the North Caucasus Region.
