The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia ordered to report on a number of assessments into violations of rights of citizens

On the air of a federal channel it was reported that the housing rights of an 87-year-old disabled woman from the town of Yegoryevsk, Moscow region - the widow of a veteran of World War II - were violated. The story reported that an elderly woman with a spinal cord disease is restricted in moving around her apartment due to narrow doorways; in addition, there are no ramps or elevators in the building, and she is forced to walk while sitting on the balcony. The Moscow Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia organized as assessment into this matter. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Moscow Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia A. Yu. Starikov to report on all circumstances of violation of rights of the elderly woman. The progress of the probe is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

Also, the head of the department instructed the head of the Irkutsk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia Sitnikov A.V. to report on the progress of the inspection, organized on the fact of violations of the rights of orphans in the Irkutsk region. During the monitoring of the media and social networks, a publication was found that in the city of Usolie-Sibirskoye citizens from the category of orphans in 2015 were given housing of improper quality, in their opinion, dangerous to life and health.  The regional investigative department is carrying out a pre-investigative assessment on the grounds of a crime under Article 293 of the Criminal Code of Russia (negligence), the results of which were also put by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia under supervision of the Central Office of the Committee.
