The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation ordered to transfer the criminal case into the death of a man in a private house in the Leningrad Region for the most complete and prompt investigation to the Central Office of the Committee.
According to investigators, in October 2020, a man with his son came to his country house in the village of Khyazelki in Vsevolozhsk district of Leningrad region. The victim turned on the gas boiler to heat the house and later lost consciousness and died before the ambulance arrived, while his 14-year-old son was taken to the hospital with a diagnosis of carbon dioxide poisoning.
As reported earlier, two women applied to the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia with a complaint about the untimely initiation of a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence) upon the death of their relative in a private house in the Leningrad region.
Alexander Bastrykin instructed his subordinates to present a plan of specific investigative actions aimed at clarifying all the details and causes of what happened in the near future. In the course of the investigation, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed to pay attention to the version about the violent nature of the man's death against the background of an ongoing property dispute between his relatives.
