Upon results of hospitalization of a 7-year-old child, the Orenburg Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched a probe under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia (production, storage and sale of products that do not meet the safety requirements of life and health of consumers). According to the investigation, a 58-year-old resident of the Gaysky urban district of the Orenburg region, in a personal household, produced an alcohol-containing liquid, which she sold to a 15-year-old local on October 16, 2021. The acquired liquid was drunk by a group of minors, including the 7-year-old granddaughter of the surrogate alcohol saleswoman. As a result, the minor was hospitalized. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia put the progress of investigation of the probe under supervision of the Central Office of the Committee and instructed the head of the Orenburg Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia Zuderman V.D. to present a report.

Moreover, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Vologda Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia Yashin G. Yu. to report on the progress of investigation of a probe into disappearance of a child in Vologda (Paragraph C of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia) and search activities. According to the investigation, the 9-year-old girl left the house on October 16, 2021, and so far her whereabouts have not been established. Employees of the forensic department of the regional office of the Committee, as well as representatives of other law enforcement agencies, volunteers and local residents are taking part in the organized search activities. The progress of investigation is under supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
