In the course of competently planned investigative actions and operational measures, the investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Vologda Region identified a woman suspected of having committed the murder of a 9-year-old girl who disappeared on October 16, 2021 (Paragraph C of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia).
The Department I for Major Crimes Investigation, together with the staff of the forensics department of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Vologda region, established the whereabouts of a woman born in 1981 on the territory of the Republic of Karelia. A woman, being a resident of the regional center, met the child on a city street on October 16, 2021. Having gained trust, she brought the girl to her apartment, located in Dolgoy Lane, where she committed her murder, after which she fled from the scene, leaving the region. The body of a child with signs of violent death was found tonight during a search in the home of the intruder, the door to whose apartment was opened with the involvement of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
A wide range of witnesses were questioned in the criminal case, which was put under supervision by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia. The woman suspected of committing the particularly grave crime is currently being taken to the investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Vologda region for investigative actions. In the course of the investigation, exhaustive measures will be taken to establish all the circumstances of the crime and its motives.
