The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia holds a video-conference briefing

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin held a video conference briefing attended by deputies of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, heads of the Central Office departments, regional investigative departments.

At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the department once again congratulated forensic specialists on their professional holiday. He reminded that "our forensic service has a glorious and good tradition and over the years has only been gaining strength, shows high efficiency, mobility and is the foundation for the investigation of criminal cases.

Turning directly to the agenda of the meeting, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia heard reports from the heads of investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia on the progress of criminal investigations into high-profile incidents. In most cases, the accidents were related to minors. Thus, the head of the Vologda Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia G. Yashin reported on the investigation of the murder of a 9-year-old girl. A.I. Bastrykin highly appreciated the joint work of investigators and operational police officers in the Vologda region and instructed to present to encouragement all those involved in solving the crime, as well as volunteers who took part in the search for the child. The Chairman also listened to reports of the head on the Ryazan Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia V.A. Nikeshkin about the progress of criminal investigation of the murder of 15-year-old teenager, the acting head of IC of Russia in the Republic of Dagestan D.V. Belyaev, where a boy in school killed a peer, the acting head of Transbaikal Territorial Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia A. Yu. Volny, where also a minor killed his 14-year-old female friend. A.I. Bastrykin gave a number of specific instructions over every incident reported.

The acting head of the Perm Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia D. S. Anashchenko presented a detailed report on the incident in one of the schools where a 12-year-old boy recently committed a shooting.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia was also presented with reports on other high-profile incidents, including the report of the head of the Sverdlovsk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia M.V. Boginsky on the investigation of the criminal case of poisoning with methyl alcohol.
Bastrykin then gave a number of instructions, including those concerning expert examinations, on investigation of a criminal case involving the death of a man in a private home in the Leningrad region. Previously, upon instruction of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, the probe was transferred to the Central Office for the most complete and prompt investigation.

In addition, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Leningrad Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia S.T. Sazin to prepare a rapid report on the situation with land disputes in the town of Sertolovo, Vsevolozhsky district.

The head of the Moscow Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia A. Strizhov informed A. Bastrykin about the completion of the criminal investigation into the incident in the Moscow subway on 12 October this year, when three citizens showed aggression against a woman. After hearing the report, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia noted the high efficiency and coherence of subordinates.

At the end of the meeting A.I. Bastrykin heard the heads of the specialized subdivision on the issues of providing staff of the Investigative Committee of Russia with service housing. A number of instructions on all the issues were given.
