The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia ordered three volumes of a book prepared based on the results of the criminal investigation into the murder of the royal family to be sent to the Russian Orthodox Church

The Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, instructed the Main Investigative Department to send to the leadership of the Russian Orthodox Church the book "The Crime of the Century. Investigative Materials", which tells the story of the investigation into the murder of the royal family, for review of the results of the investigation and forensic examinations.

The three volumes of the book, prepared by the Investigative Committee, contain unique investigative materials and historical documents related to the death of Russian Emperor Nicholas II, his family and their entourage. Readers are presented with the results of identification of the remains of 11 people found near Ekaterinburg, the conclusion of a comprehensive commission historical and archival forensic examination, 18 molecular-genetic forensic examinations, a register of physical evidence and other information, based on which authors restored chronology and reproduced the events that occurred in 1918-1919.

This book is a large joint work of investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia, scientists, experts, other specialists and researchers of different directions.
