In connection with the appeal to the Investigative Committee of Russia of representatives of a veterans' organization to check the statements of the musical performer Alisher Morgenstern about Victory Day, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Moscow Main Investigative Department for Moscow A.A. Strizhov to organize an inquiry.

The reaction of veterans was caused by Morgenstern's statements insulting the historical memory of defenders of the Fatherland, those who fought and died during the Great Patriotic War.

As part of the procedural check-up, it will be established whether Morgenstern's statements violate the legislation in force.
