The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia appealed to the governor of the Leningrad region on the issue of assistance to the victimized family from Vsevolozhsk

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, previously listened to the victims of the gas-air mixture explosion that occurred in a house in Vsevolozhsk in November 2020 during a personal reception. As a result of the accident, the family with two young children lost their apartment overnight and all of their possessions. The Leningrad Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia is giving legal assessment to circumstances of the incident in terms of a criminal case.

As the head of the department learned, the victims were provided with social support measures.  However, the damage they suffered was far more extensive - no roof over their heads, no basic necessities for life. The difficult life situation faced by a family with two young children cannot go unheeded and will not accept indifference. Adhering to the principle position of the need to support the victims, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia sent an appropriate letter to the Governor of Leningrad Oblast, Alexander Yuryevich Drozdenko, in which he informed about the situation and the need for additional assistance to the victims within the authority, drawing attention to the need to provide suitable housing for the family

For its part, the agency will continue to provide the necessary legal support to citizens and will take the necessary measures to restore and protect their rights.
