The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Stavropol Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia Ivanov I.N. to report on the progress of investigation of a probe launched under Article 293 of the Criminal Code of Russia (negligence) in relation to injuring of an inmate of Gornozavodskaya special general education school of a closed type.

The media reported that a pupil of a special school in Stavropol Territory was seriously injured in July of this year, allegedly when he fell from the horizontal bar. It was noted that this version is questionable, and the injuries may be related to physical abuse by the director of the institution, who was fired after the incident.

In addition Alexander Bastrykin instructed the acting head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia A. Zyubanov to report on the investigation of the circumstances of the death of a little girl (Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Russia). On October 28, 2021 the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Krasnoyarsk territory and the Republic of Khakassia received a report about a 7-year-old girl's body found with signs of hypothermia in the vegetable garden of a private house in the village of Tselinnoye, Shirinsky district of the Republic of Khakassia. According to investigators, the girl was raised in a large family, was disabled due to diseases of the nervous and circulatory systems. Allegedly on the night of October 28, 2021, the girl left the house on her own, went to the vegetable garden and could not return. According to preliminary forensic medical examinations, the child's death was the result of general hypothermia.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia put the progress of investigation of the probe under supervision of the Central Office.
