According to data posted in the media, on November 2, 2021 in the city of Balakovo, a patient attacked a traumatologist who was on duty in the trauma clinic of the State Health Care Institution SO "BRP". The medic was diagnosed with a closed craniocerebral injury, concussion of the brain, and soft tissue contusions. The Saratov Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched a pre-investigative probe into this matter.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin instructed the head of the Saratov Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia Govorunov A.Yu. to report on the progress of the procedural assessment and to take all possible measures to promptly clarify all circumstances of the incident.

Also today a number of mass media published reports that the night before in the city of Asbest, Sverdlovsk region, near a medical institution that provides care to patients with coronavirus infection, an unidentified attacker fired shots from a firearm, which resulted in damage to the car of one of the medical staff and the property of the hospital. None of the citizens were injured in the incident. The police launched a probe into this matter. The Sverdlovsk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia filed a motion to withdraw the criminal case from the police and transfer it to the division of the investigative department for an objective and comprehensive investigation.
