The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia A.I. Bastrykin expressed his deep condolences to the relatives of the victims of the AN-12 plane crash near Irkutsk:

"The death of a loved one is always the pain of an irreparable loss. We mourn together with you.

I want to assure you that the Investigative Committee will take exhaustive measures to establish all the circumstances of the plane crash, which killed people. The experienced staff of our agency in cooperation with colleagues from the Investigative Committee of Belarus will establish the causes and conditions that contributed to the fatal plane crash as part of the investigation.

Strength and patience to the bereaved families and relatives of the victims of this tragedy. May the memory of the victims be blessed..."
