The Chairman of the Investigative Committee instructed the head of the Moscow Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia A.A. Strizhov to report on the progress of the investigation into the criminal case of an attack on a man and his child by a group of persons in New Moscow.

Moscow Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia is investigating a probe under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism). Two suspects have now been detained.

As previously reported, in the evening, a group of men near residential houses on Novovatutinsky Avenue in New Moscow attacked and beat up two men, one of whom was carrying a young child. The perpetrators had endangered the life and health of the minor by their actions.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee instructed the heads of the Moscow Investigative Department to take urgent measures, together with the Moscow City Police Department, to establish the identity of all the assailants and to detain them. He also instructed his subordinates to apply for a preventive measure for the detainees as soon as possible. Upon instruction of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia A.I. Bastrykin, the further investigation will be supervised by the Central Office of the Investigative Committee.
