The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia requests a report on a traffic accidents involving buses in Khabarovsk Territory and Sakhalin Region

The Sakhalin Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia organized an assessment under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia (provision of services not meeting safety requirements) on the media report of a collision between a minibus and a truck, which occurred on Mira Avenue in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, resulting in injuries to passengers. All the circumstances of what happened, as well as the severity of injuries received by passengers as a result of the accident are being established. Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin instructed the head of the Sakhalin Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia Bazarov B.B. to report on the assessment activities.

In addition, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Investigative Department for Khabarovsk Territory and Jewish Autonomous Region Dolgaliev E. G. to report on the progress of the investigation into the fact of a traffic accident involving a passenger bus. According to investigators, on November 9, 2021 on the 47th km of the road Komsomolsk-On-Amur - Amursk there was a traffic accident involving a passenger bus No. 103 "s. Voznesenskoye - Amursk". The driver lost control on a slippery road, which resulted in the bus going off into a ditch and overturning. According to preliminary data, six passengers sought medical assistance as a result of the accident. One of the passengers, a woman born in 1987, was hospitalized in the district hospital, the rest were sent for outpatient treatment. In the course of the inspection a set of investigative and procedural measures aimed at establishing the circumstances of what happened are being carried out.

The progress of the procedural probes is supervised by the Central Office of the Investigative Committee.
