In connection with the information published in the media that the parents of students from a school in the Gatchina District of Leningrad Province wrote an appeal to the leadership of the Investigative Committee of Russia regarding the illegal, as they believe, dismissal of the principal after he complained about the poor-quality repairs that were performed in the educational institution, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Investigative Committee for Leningrad Province S.T. Sazin to report on the investigative and verification activities conducted.

Earlier, the media published information that the director of the school in the village of Lukashi in the Gatchina district of Leningrad Region was threatened with dismissal for refusing to accept unsatisfactory repairs. The Leningrad Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia initiated an inquiry into this matter, during which information was obtained about the involvement of the head of the procurement department of the administration of Gatchina municipal district of the Leningrad Region in corruption offenses. In the course of investigative and operational activities, in cooperation with the employees of the FSS for St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region, the head of the procurement department of the administration of Gatchina municipal district of Leningrad region was detained while receiving a bribe of 150 thousand rubles for unhindered passage through all stages of the tender procedure for the award of contracts. A criminal case is being investigated with regard to the official on the grounds of the crime provided by Part 3 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code (bribery). A preventive measure for him has been selected.  

The progress of investigation is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

In addition, one of the publications reported that a family in Troitsk district of Chelyabinsk region was actually deprived of a house that had already been built. It is noted that the family was given a plot of land on which there is an ancient burial mound and such land cannot be used for construction, but these circumstances were established when the house was almost built. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Chelyabinsk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia P.G. Reshetnikov to present a report on the situation.
