In Moscow, the former co-owner of the Bolshoye Gryzlovo airfield taken into custody after hiding from the investigation for more than three years

The Western Interregional Transport Investigations Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia resumed the investigation of the criminal case initiated under Paragraph A of Part 4 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (bribery).

The investigation found that in November 2017, the accused transferred through an intermediary a bribe of 100 thousand rubles to the Acting Head of the Interregional Territorial Administration of Air Transport of Central Regions of the Federal Air Transport Agency for a documentary answer to the Pskov customs on the flight technical characteristics of the private aircraft RAS-750XL imported into the Russian Federation, which he later intended to use in court to evade customs payments and penalties of 6.9 million. The bribe taker, who was the acting head of the Interregional Territorial Administration of Air Transport of Central Regions of the Federal Air Transport Agency, and the intermediary have already been convicted.

The accused co-owner of the airfield was put on the international wanted list in 2018 and hid from the preliminary investigation authorities for over 3 years. He was detained on the territory of Serpukhov near Moscow as part of the operational and investigative activities carried out by the Russian Federal Security Service in the Pskov Region and the Russian Federal Security Service in Moscow and the Moscow Region.

Upon request of the investigation, the suspect was put into custody.

The criminal investigation is ongoing.
