The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia ordered to report on the accident in St. Petersburg, in which an eight-year-old girl was injured

In connection with the appeal of the State Duma deputy Mikhail Romanov to the leadership of the Investigative Committee of Russia with a request to control the investigation of a traffic accident on Sofia Kovalevskaya Street in St. Petersburg, where in August a 25-year-old courier from near abroad hit an eight-year-old girl in his car, as a result of which the child suffered a compound fracture of the spine, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee instructed the Acting Head of the St. Petersburg Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia Golombievsky A.D. to report on the situation.

Mikhail Romanov draws attention of the Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia to the fact that the question of initiating criminal proceedings against the perpetrator of the accident was raised only three months after the incident. According to media reports, the injured girl was diagnosed with a compression fracture of seven vertebrae, she spent a month and a half in hospital, now requires multi-component costly rehabilitation.

The progress of implementation of the request was placed under supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee.
