The investigation seeks arrest of several employees of "Gazprom Gazoraspredelenie Krasnodar" and its branches under a criminal case into commercial bribery


The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia initiated criminal proceedings against Alexei Rudnev, General Director of Gazprom Gazoraspredelenie Krasnodar, his deputy in the joint-stock company Alexander Savostyanov, and deputy directors of the Sochi, Gelendzhik, Anapa and Krasnodar branches of the company: Alexei Petrov, Oleg Butkevich, Stanislav Bariev and Konstantin Lyuty. They are suspected of commercial bribery on a large scale (Part 8 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code).

According to the investigation, the criminal group members were illegally remunerated by businessmen for connecting residential and commercial property to gas supply networks and for coordinating acts on commissioning gas distribution networks in the Krasnodar Territory. The total amount of commercial bribery amounted to more than 20 million rubles.

The illegal activities of the above mentioned persons were prevented in cooperation with officers of the Federal Security Service of Russia and the Krasnodar Territorial Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

These individuals have been detained. The investigation petitioned the court for a preventive measure in the form of custody.
