On November 25 this year at about 8:35 local time smoke appeared in LLC "Listvyazhnaya mine". There were 115 miners in the shaft, 70 of them were brought to the surface, the evacuation continues. According to preliminary data, a number of workers suffered from smoke poisoning, the number of victims is being updated.

The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kemerovo region - Kuzbass launched a probe into signs of the crime under Part 2 of Article 217 of the Criminal Code of Russia (infringement of requirements of the industrial safety of dangerous manufacturing objects, entailing death of the person by negligence).

Currently, rescue operations are underway, an investigation team is working at the scene, including crime scene investigators. The management of the investigative department has left for the site, the necessary investigative actions are underway to determine all the circumstances of the incident. The criminal investigation continues.
