The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia requests to present a report on the progress of assessment activities in Altai Territory, related to violation of rights of citizens due to coal supply disruptions

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee instructed I.V. Kolesnichenko, Acting Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Altai Territory, to report on the progress of the investigation into the violation of citizens' rights in the region.

Mass media and social networks distributed information saying that residents of Loktevsky district could not heat their homes due to disruptions in coal supplies. With the onset of the cold season, citizens are forced to illegally cut down wood in order to stay warm in their homes. In addition, the increased price of fuel does not allow socially unprotected categories of citizens to buy it.

Investigators will have to clarify the circumstances of all the facts presented in the materials of the media and social networks, including an assessment of the actions (inaction) of employees of the district administration for their negligent attitude toward their official duties.
