In connection with the appeals published in the media addressed to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia with a request to take control of the criminal investigation into the death of two adults and a small child in a traffic accident in Rostov-on-Don, Alexander Bastrykin instructed the Head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Rostov Region Khuade A.G. to report on the circumstances of this accident.

Currently the bodies of internal affairs are investigating the criminal case on the fact of the mentioned road accident. However, the appeal to the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia says that relatives of those killed in the accident are afraid that the perpetrator of the accident may escape criminal responsibility. The progress of execution of the order is placed under control in the Central Office of the agency.

In addition, one of the programs on the federal TV channel reported about the unknown disappearance of a man in the autumn of 2019 in the Novosibirsk Region. The young man left home to meet an acquaintance of his civil spouse, and after that no one else saw him. The young man's relatives are sure that his spouse's acquaintance killed him and safely hid the body. Also, the relatives criticized the work of operatives.
