The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia requests a report on the progress of investigation into death of a man in Khabarovsk Territory

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin instructed the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Khabarovsk Territory and Jewish Autonomous Region E.G. Dolgalev to report on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case of causing grave injury to the health of an elderly man, which resulted in his death.

The Khabarovsk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia initiated a criminal case under Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code (infliction of grievous harm to health resulting in death).

According to investigators, two residents of Oktyabrsky village of Vaninsky district of Khabarovsk region aged 14 and 16 in the evening on December 9, 2021 being in an apartment where a man born in 1961 caused him bodily injury. He was hospitalized in a medical facility, but died of his injuries. At the request of the investigator the court chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention in respect of the minors.
