The Chairman of Investigation Committee of Russia instructed the Head of the Moscow Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia A. Starikov to report on the progress of criminal investigation of the incident in the monastery, initiated by the regional investigation department under articles on attempted murder (Part 3 Article 30, Part 3 Article 105 of the Criminal Code) and illegal trafficking of explosives (Article 223.1 of the Criminal Code).
According to preliminary data, a former student of the Orthodox parochial school was involved in the commission of the crimes. The investigative and forensic team of the most experienced staff of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Moscow continues to work at the scene. The number of victims as a result of the incident is specified.
The progress and results of the investigation are under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
