The investigation into a criminal case involving a crime against the sexual inviolability of a minor in St. Petersburg is completed

The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia completed the investigation into the criminal case against three residents of St. Petersburg accused, depending on the role of each, of committing the crimes provided for by Paragraph A of Part 3 of Article 131 and Paragraph A of Part 3 of Article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (rape and violent acts of sexual nature against a minor, using her helpless condition).

It was established that on the night of February 22, 2021 in St. Petersburg three young people were in the company of the 16-year-old victim at her place of residence. They had intentionally put the girl into a state of extreme intoxication. Losing the ability to resist and being in a helpless state, the victim was subjected to rape as well as other acts of a sexual nature by these individuals.

More than 50 forensic examinations, including molecular-genetic ones, were conducted on the criminal case. At the initiative of the investigation, psychological rehabilitation was conducted on the victim in order to remove her painful emotional background, remove her from post-traumatic stress, and restore her memory of the events that had occurred.

The investigation collected a sufficient evidentiary basis, in connection with which the criminal case was sent for further transfer to court.
