The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District-Yugra is investigating the criminal case against a 35-year-old resident of Kondinsky region who is suspected of committing crimes provided for by Part 1 of Article 118 and Part 1 of Article 119 of the Criminal Code (inflicting grievous harm to health and threatening to kill).

According to the investigation, on December 18, 2021 the suspect, being in a condition of alcoholic intoxication, being in an apartment of one of the houses of settlement Kondinskoye, during a quarrel with his 27-year-old cohabitant, threatened to kill her and made careless handling with a hunting gun and shot her 18-month-old son in the result of that. As a result of the incident, the child sustained severe lower extremity injuries and was hospitalized. The suspect was detained; the issue of preventive measures will be decided.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia in structed the head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District-Yugra M.V. Mokshin to report on the conducted investigative activities. The progress of the investigation is under supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee.
