The media reported that Olympic figure skating champion Dmitry Solovyov was beaten by unknown assailants in the center of Moscow at night. Earlier, a police investigation was launched into the incident, and two of the attackers were detained.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Moscow A.A. Strizhov to report on all the circumstances of the incident, as well as to request the supervisory authorities to transfer the materials of the inspection from the police to the Moscow Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
