A criminal case was initiated in the Orel region over the discovery of bone remains in Bolkhov district

According to investigators, December 16, 2021 during excavation work on the territory of the Bolkhov plant of semiconductor devices workers found human bone remains in the foundation pit at a depth of more than 2 meters in the spoil heaps. As a result of the inspection of the scene they found and seized fragments of thirty human skeletal remains with injuries, including gunshot wounds, which indicate that the victims had committed a violent death by accident, presumably during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

Necessary forensic and genetic examinations have now been ordered to establish the age and exact cause of death of the victims.
