The evidence gathered by the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia was found sufficient by the court to sentence Nikolai Stremsky, the head of the religious organization "Orthodox Holy Trinity Semion Monastery of Mercy" (Saraktash village, Orenburg region).

He was found guilty of committing crimes under Articles 131, 132, 133, 135, 117, 156, 151, 138.1 of the Criminal Code (rape; violent acts of a sexual nature; indecent assault; cruel treatment of a minor; improper fulfillment of duties of bringing up a minor; involving a minor in antisocial activities; and illegal trafficking in special technical means).

The investigation and the court found that between 1999 and 2019 the convicted person committed crimes against sexual inviolability against more than ten minors in his custody. He was also charged with torture and inadequate performance of duties on education of minors, coupled with cruel treatment, involving them in the systematic use of alcohol.

The investigation carried out a significant amount of work on the collection of evidence.

The court sentenced Stremsky to 21 years of imprisonment to be served in a high-security penal colony.
