Chairman of the Investigative Committee Instructs to Transfer Criminal Case on Inflicting Injuries to a Teenager in Stavropol Krai for Further Investigation to Main Investigative Department of Investigative Committee of Russia

In connection with a message posted on one of the social networks that criticized the investigation of the injury inflicted to a Gornozavodsk Special Closed-Type Secondary School student, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the MIC of the IC of Russia to take over the criminal case initiated on this fact for further objective and comprehensive investigation.

Earlier, the investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Stavropol Krai had initiated a criminal case on the fact of negligence resulting in accidental severe bodily harm to a student of the Gornozavodsk Special Closed-Type Secondary School (Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of Russia). The investigators found that the teenager received bodily injuries as a result of falling from a sports implement. An examination of the sports equipment, as well as computer and handwriting examinations are currently underway. The educational institution headmaster has been dismissed from his position.

The Department Head has instructed his subordinates to scrutinize all the arguments mentioned in the media and on social networks, including the ones related to the possible assault perpetrated by the educational institution headmaster.
