Romanovs Case. Investigators Have Found… Documentary to Be Shown on Channel One

On January 30, 2022 at 19.00, Channel One will broadcast the premiere of a two-part documentary, Romanovs Case. Investigators Have Found…, created by the Investigative Committee of Russia together with the National Film Foundation Patriot. This documentary is an exclusive story about the current stage of the investigation into one of the 20th century's bloodiest murders – the execution of Emperor Nicholas II (Romanov) of Russia, his family members, and entourage.

Since 2015, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has carried out a tremendous amount of work. It included numerous investigative actions, dozens of forensic tests that took advantage of the latest scientific achievements and high-tech equipment, review and systematization of hundreds of historical sources, including many multivolume works. Honored researchers, doctors, prominent historians, and archivists, as well as world-renowned scientists collaborated with the investigators. Even after more than one hundred years, thorough research and a comprehensive approach to the investigation allowed the investigators of the IC of Russia to establish a complete sequence of the events that took place in July 1918. And, what is more important, to answer the questions about the nature of remains found on the Staraya Koptyakovskaya Road in Porosyonkov Log near Yekaterinburg.

The investigation is currently in its final stage, but already in a few days, the audience will have a chance to see unique authentic documents, learn about the results of genetic, historical, ballistic, anthropological, and other tests, as well as hear the experts' conclusions and some of the investigators' findings while watching the Romanovs Case. Investigators Have Found… documentary this Sunday.
