Chairman of the Investigative Committee Orders to Report on Situation with Decline of House Recognized as Cultural Heritage Site in St. Petersburg


According to the media reports, St. Petersburg resident concerned about the dilapidated condition of the historic building of Ernest Igel's Estate, are preparing a request to the IC of Russia to organize an inspection of the activities of the Asgard company and city officials responsible for preserving the building. It is reported that along with the right to lease the historic building for 49 years, the company was obliged to restore it, but nothing has been done so far, and the building is falling into decline. In addition, information is provided about a fire in the building that could have been started intentionally.

The Chairman of the IC of Russia instructed Acting Head of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the City of St. Petersburg A. D. Golombievsky to report on the situation.
