In Omsk Oblast, Deputy Minister Is Suspected of Receiving Bribe

Investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Omsk Oblast have initiated a criminal case against Deputy Minister of Construction, Transport and Road Management of Omsk Oblast Vladimir Sychyov suspected of committing a crime under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code (taking a bribe) and against the head of a commercial organization suspected of committing a crime under Part 5 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code (giving a bribe). The criminal case was initiated based on the materials obtained due to criminal intelligence activities carried out by the regional Department of the Federal Security Service.

According to the investigators, Deputy Minister of Construction, Transport and Road Management of Omsk Oblast Vladimir Sychyov received a particularly large bribe from the head of a commercial organization in the amount of over 1.5 million rubles for patronizing the commercial organization's activities.

Currently, the suspects have been detained, searches have been conducted at their places of work and residence. The criminal case investigation continues.
