Upon the Chairman of the IC of Russia's Order, Forensic Experts of Central Office of Department Join Search for Missing Vladimir Yalunin

On the night of February 5 to 6, 2022, the investigative authorities received a report stating that while driving an all-terrain vehicle along a frozen river in Odintsovsky District, a local resident sank under the ice together with the vehicle. According to the available information, the missing person is former Deputy Minister of Justice of Russia Vladimir Yalunin.

Following this incident, the investigative authorities of the Main Investigative Department of the IC of Russia for Moscow Oblast organized a pre-investigation examination. At the place of occurrence, where emergency workers and investigators continue to work, an ice break was found; its area approximately coincides with the ATV size.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia A. I. Bastrykin instructed the forensic experts of the Central Office of the IC of Russia to join the search and establish all the circumstances of the incident. In its disposal, the Main Forensic Department has high-tech equipment that allows searching for missing people in the most difficult conditions.
