Chairman of IC of Russia Will Be Informed on Circumstances of Child Injury in Chelyabinsk Oblast

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia A. I. Bastrykin has instructed Head of the Investigative Department of the IC of Russia for Chelyabinsk Oblast P. G. Reshetnikov to report on the inspection carried out by the regional investigative department in connection with the attack of a dog on a child.

Earlier it was reported that in Sovetsky District of Chelyabinsk, a dog attacked a 7-year-old boy who was walking in the house yard. After the incident, the parents turned to a healthcare facility, where the child was provided with the necessary medical care. Currently, as part of the inspection conducted by the regional investigative department, the dog owner is being identified. The issue of initiating a criminal case under Article 118 of the Criminal Code (causing grievous bodily harm by negligence) is being resolved.

The progress and results of the inspection are monitored by the Central Office of the department as instructed by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee.
