Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Ordered to Report on Probe Into Information About Threats a Woman Receives From Collectors in Novosibirsk Oblast

Mass media reported that a resident of Novosibirsk Oblast has been receiving threats, including threats against children and relatives, from collectors over a debt paid to a microlender. These reports claim that a family long repaid a loan of 25,000 rubles behind time and with high interest, but they receive phone calls with threats and demands to pay 1.8 million rubles. The investigative authorities of the ID of the IC of Russia for Novosibirsk Oblast launched a probe.

Chairman of the Investigative Committee ordered A. N. Badulin, Acting Head of the Investigative Department of the IC of Russia for Novosibirsk Oblast, to report on the situation. The progress of fulfilling the order is monitored by the Central Office of the IC.
