Chairman of the IC of Russia Instructs to Investigate Situation with Numerous Dog Attacks in Novosibirsk Oblast

According to the media reports, in the town of Barabinsk, Novosibirsk Oblast, local residents have recorded at least thirteen cases of stray dogs attacking people since March last year to the present moment. However, the local authorities responsible for solving this problem do not take any measures to ensure the citizens' safety. In connection with the inaction of the authorities regarding stray dog attacks, residents of the town of Barabinsk appealed to the Investigative Department of the IC of Russia for Novosibirsk Oblast.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee instructed Acting Head of the ID for Novosibirsk Oblast A. N. Badulin to organize a pre-investigation check in connection with the citizens' appeal, to scrutinizing each case of dogs attacking people, and to report on the measures taken to protect the citizens' rights. The inspection progress and results are monitored by the Central Office of the department.
