Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation A. I. Bastrykin instructed Head of the Main Investigative Department of the IC of Russia for Moscow A. A. Strizhov to report on the progress of the investigation into the criminal case on the man's attack on two police officers (Part 2 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code).

According to the investigation, two Moscow police officers were stabbed while apprehending the 23-year-old man suspected in theft. The latter resisted the law enforcement officers and used a bladed weapon. The person involved is detained.

A. I. Bastrykin instructed to establish all the circumstances of the incident as soon as possible, including checking the legality and grounds for the suspect's stay in the Russian Federation.

The course of the criminal case investigation is monitored by the Central Office of the department.
