Chairman of the IC of Russia Orders to Report on Information about Harassment of Women in Moscow and Lipetsk Oblast

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation A. I. Bastrykin instructed Head of the Main Investigative Department of the IC of Russia for Moscow A. A. Strizhov to submit an operational report on harassment of a young woman in Moscow, information about which was posted on the Internet.

Thus, a deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation requested to consider the appeal of a Moscow resident. The young woman has been harassed for a long time by her former boyfriend, a so-called “stalker,” who threatens her safety. Taking into account this information, the investigative authorities of the MID of the IC of Russia for Moscow organized a procedural check. A. I. Bastrykin instructed to thoroughly check all the arguments indicated in the appeal and to initiate a criminal case, if there are grounds for it.

The progress of the procedural check is monitored by the Central Office of the department.

In addition, the story of a Lipetsk Oblast resident, whose private life had been systematically violated, was reported. Chairman of the Investigative Committee A. I. Bastrykin also instructed Head of the ID for Lipetsk Oblast E. V. Shapovalov to report on the situation.
