Chairman of IC of Russia Instructs to Take All Measures Required to Establish Circumstances of Former Deputy Minister of Justice's Death

In early February of this year, the former Deputy Minister of Justice of Russia V. U. Yalunin, while driving an ATV and moving along a frozen river in Odintsovsky District, Moscow Oblast, sank under the ice together with the vehicle.

Following this incident, investigative authorities of the Main Investigative Department of the IC of Russia for Moscow Oblast launched a pre-investigation check. They managed to find and seize the ATV that fell into the river, while the man's body was not found at that time.

This afternoon, the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees found a man's body in the river 200 meters from the spot where the ATV was spotted. According to preliminary data, this may be the previously missing person.

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia A. I. Bastrykin instructed Head of the Main Investigative Department of the IC of Russia for Moscow Oblast A. Yu. Starikov to take all measures required to establish the circumstances of V. U. Yalunin's death, as well as to report on the preliminary results of the inspection.
