Chairman of the IC of Russia Instructs to Report on Circumstances of Attack on Composer Alexander Kolker in St. Petersburg

The investigative bodies of the Main Investigative Department of the IC of Russia in St. Petersburg are investigating a criminal case initiated on a possible crime under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (attempted murder) following the attack on Merited Artist of the RSFSR 88-year-old Alexander Naumovich Kolker that happened on February 20, 2022 at the entrance of a house along the embankment of the Chyornaya Rechka. As a result of investigative actions and operational-search measures, a man born in 1975 was detained on suspicion of committing the crime. The issue of imposing a restriction measure against him and charging him is under consideration.

The Chairman of the IC of Russia instructed Acting Head of the MID for St. Petersburg, M. G. Parastaeva to report on the progress of the criminal case investigation, as well as to check the detainee for commission of similar crimes.
